Our Gorgeous Boutique

Sudbury became the property of the Vernon family in the early 16th century through the marriage of the heiress, Ellen Montgomery, to Sir John Vernon (d.1545) a younger son of Sir Henry Vernon of Haddon Hall in north Derbyshire. George Vernon (1636-1702) started building Sudbury Hall shortly after the restoration of King Charles II in 1660. The Hall is a magnificent example of English architecture from one of the finest periods of country house building. At the same time, George Vernon built a new Estate village adjacent to the Hall, to house his servants, Estate labourers and tradesmen. The heart of the village has changed little since the late 17th century. The Main Road, the former Estate Office and the Vernon Arms coaching inn - which is still a country pub today - are remarkable survivals.

Pearl and Eve Bridal was born in 2023 and accepted to be an active part of the historic Sudbury estate. This beautiful historic estate embodies everything we want to showcase as a brand, unique, different, luxurious, exquisite and inclusive. Come and immerse yourself in a prestigious setting in a luxurious bridal boutique, surrounded by history.

Clare Doherty

Creative director and Owner

Hi, I'm Clare, the owner and creative behind Pearl and Eve Bridal.

I studied and graduated in fashion design in 2006 and have spent years creating successful

fashion reselling businesses as well as creating bespoke pieces for clients.

I have always been passionate about dresses and especially bridal, I saw a gap in the bridal market for stand-out bridal fashion. Armed with a passion for wedding dresses and a trained eye for detail, I saw an opportunity to create Pearl and Eve. My background helps me to understand current and future bridal trends and where to source quality designers.

I embody all that is female empowerment and body positivity and at Pearl and Eve you will feel confident and looked after.

Looking forward to seeing you gorgeous brides to be!
